The Holy Spirit is God.

The Holy Spirit is God.  When Jesus Christ was on this earth, He told His followers, "...You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Earlier He had said to them, "It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you." The Holy Spirit is the power of God in our lives.  When we sincerely ask Jesus Christ to be our Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit comes and lives in our lives. You can ask God's power, through the Holy Spirit, to flow through your life. You do not have to try to live the Christian life in your own strength and power. It is like trying to row a boat a long ways; it is much better if the boat has an engine to turn on the engine. God's power is much greater than your own.  So do you want to stop a bad habit? Are you tired of getting angry all the time? Do you want to be kind and loving to someone you have a bad relationship with? Then ask forgiveness for your sins in Jesus' name, and ask God through His Holy Spirit to fill you with His power to live a victorious Christian life.
