Meet BeetleCam – camera on wheels, controlled remotely.

2. Brothers Matthew (20 years) and William (age 26) Burrard-Lucas last year built a camera BeetleCam in his garage. (BURRARD-LUCAS / BARCROFT MEDIA)

3. For two weeks in August, they used their techno-friend to “walk” through the savanna national park Katava in Tanzania. Being safe in your Land Rover, the brothers ran a camera to photograph wild animals at close range. (BURRARD-LUCAS / BARCROFT MEDIA)

After a meeting with a predator away from the camera were only pieces. “After the success of the elephants, we decided to make the lions second object of our survey – says Will. – Actually, it was a silly idea. BeetleCam just trampled and tossed in the thicket. We are lucky that we even were able to restore the memory card. 10. During his first trip the brothers are faced with an unusual animal behavior at the sight of the camera. “We thought that elephants would be a simple target shooting. We were wrong. 12. “To our surprise, the second most dangerous animal in Africa was the most agreeable object – we mean easily irritated buffalo. Adult males who failed to find a female, collected in small “bachelor” herds.
